MARRIAGE PROCEDURES AT ST. JOSEPH PARISH:
 

1. Arrangements for marriage should be made at least six months in advance.  You must meet with the Pastor/Priest prior requesting a wedding date.  Wedding date will be confirmed only after receiving the priest’s approval and a deposit of half of the wedding fee. To schedule an appointment with a priest please call the parish office at (503) 581-1623.

2. You will need to request a Baptism Certificate from your church of baptism, dated within six months of your marriage. YOU MUST BRING THIS BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE WITH YOU WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR INTERVIEW WITH THE PRIEST.

3. After the initial meeting, couples will continue meeting with a priest or another member of our pastoral team approximately once a month for pre-marrigae classes until the date of the wedding. For more details on our program, please contact the parish office on weekdays at (503) 581-1623.
   
   Continue to pray & discern if you are ready for this life long decision to share life together.  It's recommended to take a full 9 months to prepare for your marriage, as research shows this increase your chance for a life long marriage.
